Why bother.

Unread post by M0VMT »

Sat listening on 2 metres and their is a bunch of licensed ops complaining about the idiots that play music on cb and how it is affecting them, for Christ sake why are they giving cb radio so much time beats me and why even become licensed if you are going to belly ache over headbangers on cb radio.....I think it may be time for me to abandon FM on VHF for good.

I must admit to having not used FM on 2M or 70cm for a while. There's a local 70cm repeater, that I do occasionally monitor, but it doesn't seem to get much use.

Bellyaching about CB does seem a bit strange, if you've got an Amateur Licence, there's so much more that you can get up to anyway.

I did try 70cm FM whilst out walking a friends dog the other day, but that was the 1st time in years.

Yes it's strange Dave....70cms is a nice spread and underused sadly.
I've been putting out calls on the ssb portion this weekend and had zero contacts.
