Interference back

Unread post by M0VMT »

Well I had ofcom out for two noises one was cured and the other is my crank arsed neighbour that refuses to comply with ofcoms tactics and is avoiding the issue but in all fairness to ofcom they are on it.
The original 16hr timer noise disappeared when ofcom knocked on their door within 12hrs but guess what it's back with a vengeance 12 on 12 off all HF is wiped and it's on VHF believe it or not the dirty crap is 0-144mhz.
I have my suspicions and after 7 weeks the plonker must think it's ok to give it another go so a new case is opened and I still have the crank next door to get sorted.....FFS it's a never ending story and I'm about ready to kick HF in the head, this is my last piss around with noise and logs 3 bloody months now and I'm back in the traps.

Sorry to hear this mate, I was hoping the last time was...the last time.
Keep on at OfCom, they will get sick and have to do something about it, I hope that one day we have to start paying a licence fee again, at least that will give us some weight behind our complaints!

Don't hold your breath, we pay a licence fee and our regulator is, shall we say, apathetic when it comes to interference complaints from ham radio quarters.

Sounds like "the next door neighbour" may have something growing the Police would be interested in.

Up for work which isn't happening today due to the cold and a bit of snow, upon cleaning the car off for the wife I causally looked around at the roof tops and guess what one had no snow at all hmmmm not legit.

Way back in the dark ages, the no snow on the roof was a sign of no insulation in the roof, how times have changed.

Re cleaning snow off the car, at least you didn't have to dig it out of 6 feet of snow like we did back in '63 :)

My son in law and daughter had to travel to Isle of sheppy on friday, on the return journey the car conked out just off the island
they waited 5 hours for the RAC to get to them by which time several roads around the area were closed they got home just after 1am saturday,9 hours to travel 150 miles snow all the way.

Aye after some more research 12/12 is the budding stage which can last weeks and weeks.....the initial noise was 16 hrs long 8 weeks ago and is when they start them..... I am now a walking specialist LOL.
To be honest it's all worn thin with me as I have two noises from 2 different locations and I am getting hammered to ==== even vhf is feeling the crud.
I will get Ofcom back on it and leave it with them...I was hoping it went away never to return but knowing my look as fast as it does another load will be in production.
