Re: CB Radio Anniversary Event 27th June

Our 27/81 has always had the loons Terry from day one, our newer mid band cept is more pleasant if you ask me.
Some of these lot around here sit on ch19 with their acoms talking crap all day, it's all rather confusing why they go to the effort of getting a license to then sit on 19 a Roger

Re: CB Radio Anniversary Event 27th June

We have some good lads on around here on mid band, but I have to say it's a shame it's not used enough when we were given it after all these years of waiting.

Re: Ranger 2950dx

Sounds good regards the cobweb and other gear, I've had mini beams Terry for hf their performance is mediocre if I'm honest and a simple wire Delta loop can just be as good.
Yeah catch you later.

Re: Ranger 2950dx

Oh right Terry my mother has that and can even be bed ridden with it.
Yeah a new mast would be good and on a tilt, mines a little box 40ft galvanized and tilt bolted to the house.
Best thing I did nothing heavy on it just 10 6 2 antennas.

Re: Ranger 2950dx

For 10 they are good mate a little keen on receive but all they need is the rf gain knocking back a tad and yes they did the 50mhz one.
They are about the best for us regards cheap alternative for 10.
