Iambic keyer with CQ beacon

by G0DJA » Tue Sep 24, 2019 5:42 pm

Another project from some years ago, when many transceivers didn't have built in Iambic keying circuits, or for home made gear like the FOXX.

When you switch it on it plays an "R" in morse and pressing the button on the side sends a string of three CQs followed by 'de' and my callsign three times, and then 'AR K'. It also operates as an Iambic keyer by plugging paddles into the stereo socket on the right of the box. One of the jacks on the back is to plug into the key jack on the radio, and provides an open and closed key contact, the other one, I think, lets me plug it into an external power supply, but I need to check on that. It also runs off a 9 Volt battery, for when out portable.
